Join this food and history tour and your guide will take you to three different places, so you can taste the most delicious and scrumptious food while you are walking along the 1700 year old imperial palace, getting to know all of Diocletians Palace and the surrounding medieval highlights. By exploring with a guide, you’ll experience each flavor in context and discover places you may otherwise have missed!
You’ll start your food adventure with a short walk through the center of Diocletian’s palace to the great restaurant known for handmade pasta “macaruni”, with glasses of local wines from south Croatia. You will also have the opportunity to taste a finest seafood specialities with a glass of wine. Next up, you’ll try soparnik – local specialty protected by geographical origin, homemade in grandma’s style, healthy and delicious like all our olive oli specialities… and grappa! During the last part of the tour we’ll take you to another charming restaurant where you will taste Dalmatian Plate of mixed delicacies such as prosciutto and cheese with a glass of wine. Save some room for a traditional Dalmatian dessert made by hundred years old secret recipes or delicious gelato, as the perfect end to an evening of food tasting!
